Google Ads rules that ask in Slack first
A rule watches your campaigns on schedule. When its condition holds, ppctor proposes the change in Slack: pause a campaign, change its budget or its bidding target. Nothing changes until someone approves it.
Add to Slack Free to start · Sign in with Google, then choose a channelWhen Cost is at least 80 over the last 14 days, and only if Conversions is equal to 0 over the last 14 days, on every enabled campaign, pause the campaign. Ask in Slack first.
Review these changes. Approval expires in one hour.

Build your own, or describe it in plain words.
Build a custom rule step by step on the web or in Slack, or describe it in a sentence. ppctor drafts the rule and shows its settings; it is saved only when you confirm them.
- The rule reads back as one sentence before you save it
- A 30-day replay shows how often it would have triggered, where history allows
- Google checks the change is possible before the rule is saved
Review the proposed settings before saving. No changes have been made to Google Ads.
What happens before a campaign changes.
Every rule goes through the same checks, whether it was ready-made, built by hand or described in a sentence.
- 1The condition must hold
It has to match on consecutive checks, leaving out the most recent days Google may still update, and campaigns below a minimum of clicks or conversions are not judged.
- 2ppctor proposes the change
The Slack proposal shows the evidence, the dates and each campaign’s setting before and after, with Approve all, Review, Skip and Pause rule. It expires after one hour.
- 3Someone approves it
Anyone in the linked channel can approve in Slack, or the account owner on the web. Review lets you approve only some campaigns.
- 4Google checks it first
Each change is validated by Google before it is made. A campaign Google refuses is skipped with Google’s reason; the others go ahead.
- 5Applied and read back
ppctor reads each campaign again after the change and reports “Google Ads confirmed the setting.” A result it cannot confirm is never retried on its own.
- 6Logged, with undo
Every check, proposal and change is in the rule’s history. Undo restores a setting only if nobody has changed it since.
Good to know
- Rules pause or enable campaigns, change daily budgets that are not shared, and change existing target CPA or ROAS. Campaigns with a shared budget or a portfolio bidding strategy are skipped, with the reason.
- Up to 20 rules per channel, paused ones included; up to 10 campaigns per run and 25 campaign changes per account in 24 hours.
- A campaign’s budget can change by at most 30% in 24 hours. A bidding target changes by at most 15% at a time, with 7 days between changes.
- A budget change approved after 06:00 is made at 00:05 the next day, in the account’s time zone, unless you choose Apply now.
- A rule can test without changing anything: it reports what it would have proposed.
/ppctor rules offswitches every rule off for the channel’s account.
