Calculation
Where the period is heading, from the last 7 days.
Pacer adds up spend from the start of the budget period through yesterday, projects the rest of the period at the average of the last 7 days, and compares the projection with your budget.
- Over or under target, as a percentage
- The daily spend that lands the period on budget
- A monthly budget period that starts on any day from the 1st to the 28th
Sep 1 – 23, 23 complete days
- Spent: USD 12,840.00
- Last 7 days: USD 558.26 a day
Sep 24 – 30, 7 days left
- At that rate: USD 16,747.80 by Sep 30
- 11.6% over the USD 15,000 budget
- To land on budget: USD 308.57 a day
With Rules
Let a rule act on the pace.
Pacer reports; a rule can propose the change. These ready-made rules use Pacer’s projection as their condition and ask in Slack before changing budgets or bidding targets.
- Posted at one or two times a day that you choose, in the account’s time zone
- Warning and critical levels: warning from 5% to 30%, critical from 30%
- Mention the person who last edited it, or @here or @channel
Ready-made rules
- Pacer overspending — lower budgets: Reduce budgets when spending runs ahead of the Pacer target.
- Pacer overspending — tighten targets: Tighten bidding targets when spending runs ahead of plan.
- Pacer underspending — raise budgets: Increase budgets when spending is behind plan and returns meet your goal.
- Pacer underspending — loosen targets: Relax bidding targets when spending is behind plan.
