Turn suspected waste into an evidence-based decision

Reduce Google Ads wasted spend for enterprise teams: establish the business mismatch before changing account controls

Investigate cost against the intended offer, measured outcome and responsible scope. Separate unproductive evidence from unread data, then prepare exact exclusions, pauses or budget changes for owner review.

Define what the business calls waste

Wasted spend is a business judgement, not a universal provider field. The team needs to say which activity fails its intended purpose and why. Irrelevant demand, an unavailable offer and an unsuitable measured result can all deserve attention, but they require different evidence and different remedies.

A central operator might see cost without recent conversions while the regional owner knows that the campaign supports a longer buying cycle. Another campaign might record many events that do not represent the intended commercial outcome. Neither case can be understood from the cost total alone.

Begin with the offer and intended customer action. The organisation should know what the campaign is supposed to achieve before asking the tool to rank its worst performers. An account can intentionally support several objectives, and a single ratio may not provide a fair comparison across them.

Distinguish a suspicion from an established mismatch. A low return can justify a focused review. It does not automatically identify an irrelevant keyword, a broken route or poor lead quality. Use the next read to test the specific question rather than treating the first signal as a complete diagnosis.

Write the decision in terms that the owner can review: the selected scope, observed result, business expectation and proposed next task. This keeps the discussion grounded and prevents a generic “reduce waste” request from becoming permission to make arbitrary live changes.

Map the responsible account population

Enterprise responsibility can follow regions or divisions while campaigns follow another structure. Establish which account and campaign population belongs to the decision. A familiar department label does not automatically identify a complete provider selection, particularly after renaming or restructuring.

Keep account context attached to the evidence. Similar campaign names can exist in several connected accounts. The conversation should use meaningful names and relevant parents, while internal identity binds the retrieval and any later proposal. Raw customer identifiers are not needed to explain the business question.

Historical cost and current configuration remain distinct. A campaign that is paused now can have spent in the selected earlier period. Excluding it merely because of today's status can conceal the very activity the user wants to investigate. A current inventory view answers a different question.

Use the relevant parent population for group-specific questions. PMax asset groups and Standard Shopping ad groups have their own targeting relationships. A product appearing in several groups is several targeting occurrences, even when the inventory product itself is the same.

A portfolio review needs comparable evidence and explicit coverage. Do not imply an automatic enterprise-wide scan from one connected account result. The central team can coordinate its reviews, while each observation remains bound to its authorised source, selected period and actual completed population.

Confirm the outcome behind the comparison

Confirm what the selected conversion metric measures before deciding that cost is unproductive. All-primary conversions can include several action categories. A purchase-only count, aggregate leads and a named action answer narrower questions. Their values should not be swapped silently in the middle of a performance explanation.

Primary conversion value can include assigned value for non-purchase actions. That can be intentional. It should not be labelled purchase revenue merely because the comparison uses a value-to-cost ratio. If the business wants sales-related evidence, obtain the relevant purchase-only definition.

A lead aggregate does not establish the organisation's quality judgement. The business can supply a later qualification outcome, while a named Google Ads action or confirmed Analytics event can measure a specific step. Do not infer qualified demand simply from an action name or a high conversion rate.

Call outcomes can carry value and can belong in primary conversion totals. Offline imports can also contribute to those totals. They are not automatically independent additional outcomes to add again. A website phone-link event is different from a measured call and needs its own explanation.

Keep cross-source evidence distinct. Google Ads value and GA4 purchase revenue can be useful compatible series, but they reflect different scopes and attribution. They should not be summed as separate revenue streams. See enterprise reporting for the relevant comparison framework.

Choose a defensible observation period

The period should support the decision rather than the most convenient headline. A newly launched offer and a mature campaign can have different evidence needs. Recent days may contain incomplete reporting, while an old period may no longer describe the current offer. State the selected dates and explain why they matter.

Rolling days and calendar months are different selections. A last-thirty-days request should preserve that rolling interval rather than becoming last month. Keep completed-day boundaries in the account clock visible when they affect what was observed.

A shorter follow-up can investigate a specific change without replacing the broader review. If the campaign changed creative last week, examine that period with its own label. Do not present the shorter selection as if it were the original thirty-day result.

Use the same period when applying a filter and preparing its resulting targets. A campaign selected for low return over one interval should not be mutated because a different interval happened to appear in a later preview. The target selection needs a durable explanation of the evidence that produced it.

Keep unavailable evidence separate from an unsuitable result. A failed report cannot establish zero conversions or low return. Establish the actual completeness boundary before ranking resources or describing the observed amount as waste.

Interpret cost without measured conversions

Cost with no measured conversions is a useful investigation pattern. It says that the selected valid observation contained cost and no conversions under its definition. It does not establish the exact cause. The team should check measurement, intent, offer and destination context before choosing a remedy.

CPA is undefined when the relevant conversion denominator is unavailable or zero. Displaying zero CPA would suggest excellent efficiency from a period with no measured outcome. Preserve that arithmetic boundary rather than turning the absence into a numeric result.

Confirm that the observation was successfully established. An empty preview, incomplete provider read or missing authorisation cannot substitute for a complete zero-conversion result. The response should identify the actual evidence gap and assign the next check.

Consider known timing and business context. An offer can have a longer customer journey, a deliberate testing window or a later imported outcome. Those facts need evidence or owner confirmation. Do not invent them merely to excuse poor performance, and do not ignore them when the business supplies them.

The next task might be a focused conversion-action read, a route test or a search-intent review. A pause can become appropriate later, but it should be tied to the established business reason and exact target. A generic no-conversion pattern is not an unlimited mutation instruction.

Use complete ratios and meaningful boundaries

A ratio needs the selected complete components. Divide total selected value by total selected cost for an aggregate return measure. An unweighted average of campaign ratios can answer a different question and overstate the influence of small campaigns.

A boundary also needs a unit and scope. A CPA amount differs from a return ratio, and a percentage decrease differs from an absolute cost reduction. The reader should see which measure is being compared and whether the condition includes its exact threshold.

Reporting filters can support compound questions, but the terms must remain meaningful. “Cost above this amount and primary conversions equal to zero” is a different selection from either condition alone. Preserve the requested logical relationship and date scope when explaining the resulting rows.

The saved monitoring choices are not every conversational report operator. An alert catalogue can have a narrower set of comparisons than the reporting framework. Use the actual supported surface rather than claiming that one form's options describe the whole application.

Use a threshold because it supports the business review. An arbitrary number chosen to produce a manageable list can hide relevant resources or include unsuitable ones. If the owner has not supplied a meaningful expectation, discuss the comparison purpose before treating its result as a verdict on waste.

Inspect observed search intent

A search-term review connects observed customer wording with the offer. The question is whether that intent is useful to the business, not simply whether it resembles a configured keyword. A term can be linguistically related while asking for a product or service the organisation does not provide.

Google's search-terms guidance distinguishes users' actual searches from configured keywords and notes that some low-activity queries are omitted. Treat the returned terms as the available reported population, not proof that every query has been disclosed.

Ask the offer owner about uncertain intent. A brand term can be useful for one division and irrelevant for another. A service phrase can imply a location or delivery requirement the account operator does not know. The business answer should inform the recommendation before a negative keyword is prepared.

Keep performance and semantic relevance separate. A term can be relevant but currently unproductive, or commercially irrelevant despite a measured event. The first case needs a performance investigation; the second can justify an exclusion based on the offer mismatch. Explain which reason applies.

Do not claim that a visible-term total accounts for every unit of account spend. Reporting coverage and selection matter. The useful deliverable is a supported set of observed terms with their context and proposed decision, while missing coverage remains a boundary rather than an invented all-clear.

Review negative scope and attachment

A negative keyword needs the correct application scope. A campaign-level exclusion, an ad-group exclusion and a shared-list entry can affect different populations. The proposal should describe where the selected text will apply instead of presenting every negative as an account-wide rule.

The focused convenience negative actions prepare exact-match negatives. That behaviour should be clear before approval. A user asking to exclude a broad concept may need a different supported operation or a more precise selection; an exact text should not be described as blocking every possible related search.

Creating a shared list is separate from populating it and attaching it. An empty list changes no campaign's intent selection. An unattached list also does not establish that its entries apply to the intended campaigns. Keep these dependencies visible when the request includes several steps.

The audit's negative-presence check establishes whether its applicable enabled campaigns have negatives through the relevant scopes. Presence is not completeness. One existing entry does not prove that every irrelevant term has been handled, and a pass does not replace an actual search-intent review.

Review possible business exceptions before sharing an exclusion widely. A term irrelevant to one offer can matter to another division. Exact target and parent context protect that distinction. The tool should prepare the supported scope the owner actually wants rather than attach a broad shared list indiscriminately.

Connect location settings with the offer

Location targeting should match the business's intended demand. A local service and an internationally researched destination can have different requirements. A setting that looks broad in one context can be intentional in another. Ask what the offer requires before treating the configuration as wasted reach.

Location criteria and the intent setting are separate controls. Selecting a country differs from selecting Presence rather than a broader interest interpretation. A request can require both, with each step described clearly in the proposal. Do not imply that changing one automatically establishes the other.

Stored targeting alone does not establish actual outside-area cost. That requires the relevant observed performance selection. The audit can prompt a location investigation, while the report answers what activity was observed. Keep the configuration heuristic and performance fact distinct.

The business owner can supply legitimate exceptions. Travellers, future movers or procurement teams can research an offer from another place. That context should be recorded explicitly, not guessed by the AI. It can support a different decision from a generic presence-only recommendation.

When a change is justified, prepare its exact target and intended location state. Show the campaign name and relevant steps without technical identifiers. The owner should understand which geography and intent control are changing before confirming a live edit.

Use diagnostics without declaring automatic waste

A low Quality Score can guide an investigation of a Search keyword's experience. It is not an automatic commercial verdict. The account can have a profitable keyword with a weak diagnostic, or a high diagnostic without a suitable business result.

The current audit exposes low-score keywords as a diagnostic review rather than a substitute for performance evidence. A convenience pause action exists for its eligible selection, but the existence of that operation does not establish that every selected keyword should be paused.

Inspect the offer, relevant creative and landing context alongside the requested performance period. The next task may be clearer text, a better destination or a different keyword selection. The operator needs a reason tied to the business mismatch, not merely a desire to reduce the diagnostic count.

Keep the exact candidate population visible. Search keyword diagnostics do not apply universally to every campaign type. A current enabled keyword selection differs from a historical report population, and a bulk convenience selection must still be understood before approval.

Use a focused recommendation the owner can assess. “Review this keyword's destination against the advertised offer” describes concrete work. “Fix all poor quality” can conceal several unrelated decisions. The audit contributes a diagnostic observation; the team supplies the commercial interpretation.

Preserve product targeting occurrences

Product targeting lives in group-specific listing trees. PMax uses asset groups, while Standard Shopping uses ad groups. Each enabled group can independently include or exclude the same inventory product. A targeting-occurrence count therefore preserves the product's separate memberships.

A broad excluded branch can cover several inventory products. Counting only explicit item leaves can miss that population, while counting branch nodes as individual products can also be wrong. The generic relationship framework matches the selected inventory and tree paths according to the question.

A return filter requires historical performance in the relevant relationship scope. Current exclusion and past ROAS are different facts. A product with no usable historical denominator is unknown for that ratio, not automatically low return. Preserve this boundary when preparing a filtered inclusion or exclusion selection.

The supported inclusion operation uses verified listing partitions and exact selected products. It preserves unrelated partitions and can expand a broader leaf only for the selected products. Replacing an entire product selection is a different action and should not be described as a small isolated exclusion.

Dedicated provider tree services have their own execution boundaries. A combined PMax and Shopping request can apply separately, so one part can succeed while another fails. The proposal must explain the relevant effect rather than claim universal atomicity across every product-targeting operation.

Investigate creative and destination dependencies

Cost can be commercially unproductive because the advertised offer and destination do not align. Inspect the specific route and creative before naming that cause. A provider destination-policy status is not a complete live test of the customer journey, and a successful page load is not proof that its form or checkout works.

Use the appropriate owner for the missing check. The media team can identify the ad and destination, while the web team verifies the intended interaction. The commercial owner confirms whether the page accurately represents the offer. These checks support one decision without pretending that the Ads API observes every website step.

A paused seasonal asset can retain an old route without immediate live exposure. An enabled parent chain with relevant activity needs a different priority. Establish the requested population and current status before declaring every stale destination equally urgent.

Creative drafting can remain conversational. The AI can suggest clearer headlines or descriptions from supplied product context without needing keyword research or another account read. Uploading that content is a separate supported operation with an exact reviewed target.

Keep the replacement effect clear. Editing an RSA can replace its full content fields rather than append one isolated phrase. The proposal should describe the concrete preserved and changed material. Fixing the wording does not guarantee later policy approval or a commercial improvement.

Work through an invented divisional review

Consider an invented organisation, Maple Quay Training, whose regional divisions advertise different workshop offers. A central operator reviews a selected completed period and finds two campaigns that need attention. This example illustrates interpretation and task ownership rather than a customer result or a promised saving.

The first campaign has observed cost and no primary conversions in the valid selected result. The operator does not label its CPA zero or pause it immediately. The regional owner confirms the intended booking action, and the measurement owner checks whether that action represents the relevant customer step.

The second campaign has reported search terms asking for an offer the organisation does not provide. The business owner confirms the mismatch. That establishes a semantic exclusion reason independently of whether a general account return ratio is above target. The operator prepares exact negative text for the appropriate campaign scope.

The review also contains a product with past return above the selected boundary and a current exclusion in two enabled group relationships. Those are two targeting occurrences, not two unique inventory products. The team reviews the reason for each exclusion before considering inclusion; past performance alone does not establish that the product is available now.

The handoff contains three different tasks: verify measurement, review an exact negative proposal and confirm the product's current business eligibility. Only a supported owner-confirmed proposal becomes a live edit. The team does not combine the findings into an invented monetary saving before any later result is observed.

Prioritise established dependencies

Prioritise work by the decision it blocks and the relevant exposure. A measurement definition can affect every performance ranking. An unavailable landing interaction can affect a particular offer. A diagnostic keyword observation can support a later improvement. These tasks have different urgency even when they appear in one review.

Start with evidence needed to make the commercial judgement. If the team cannot establish what conversions mean, resolve that definition before acting on a low-return selection. Creative brainstorming can continue, but the account mutation should not rely on a metric interpretation the business has not confirmed.

Consider whether the affected assets are expected to be active. An intentionally paused campaign for an ended offer needs different work from a live launch with a customer-path issue. Current status, historical cost and future planning are distinct observations. Keep all relevant parts in the decision record.

Group common dependencies without erasing the affected scopes. Several campaigns can share a destination problem, allowing one coordinated web task. Their individual account contexts still matter for any later edit. A shared implementation task does not authorise a broad mutation across every campaign that resembles them.

Explain deferred work with its owner and next condition. A lower priority does not mean the finding was disproved. The next reviewer needs to know whether the team accepted the business context, is waiting for evidence or has postponed a supported change for a stated operational reason.

Assign the business and implementation owners

One person should own the immediate next task, even when several teams contribute. The media operator can assemble the account evidence, the offer owner supplies commercial context and the implementation specialist checks the route or event. The accountable task owner coordinates those inputs and records the result.

Keep the task specific. “Confirm whether this term describes an offer we sell” gives the regional owner a clear question. “Fix wasted spend” leaves the person unsure which campaign, measurement or customer requirement needs attention. A precise assignment shortens the path to a supported decision.

Define what evidence closes the task. A business confirmation can establish semantic relevance; a website test can establish the tested interaction; an account read can establish stored state. Those observations are not interchangeable. The owner should know which one the review still needs.

Approval authority remains separate from investigation ownership. A creative specialist can write a proposed replacement without being authorised to confirm its live upload. The connected-owner boundary still applies to the application edit, regardless of how the organisation assigns its internal tasks.

Use a handover when the relevant person is unavailable. Preserve the exact scope, latest valid evidence and unresolved question. A new colleague should not have to rerun the entire account review simply to understand what the business owner was supposed to confirm.

Discuss the evidence in Slack

A useful request identifies the decision and evidence: “Which campaigns spent above this amount with no primary conversions over the selected completed period?” The AI can use the generic reporting framework to obtain the requested population rather than rely on a dedicated anecdotal tool for one wording.

The next question can use the same returned dataset when its scope still matches. Asking for a shorter explanation or a different supported presentation does not necessarily require another account read. A new account, period or metric selection needs its own evidence instead of a guessed continuation.

Creative work should remain available. The user can ask for alternative headlines, clearer offer wording or a stakeholder summary based on supplied context. Those requests do not automatically need Keyword Planner or a fresh performance query. The AI can write while preserving the difference between suggestions and verified account facts.

Ask a targeted clarification when the business question is ambiguous. “Worst performing” can require a selected outcome, especially across mixed account purposes. The tool should not silently impose purchase-only return on campaigns intended for a different primary outcome.

Keep the final message concise and practical. State the supported conclusion, target names, relevant parent context and next task. Larger evidence belongs in an appropriate detailed output. The conversation should not require the owner to interpret provider resource fields before understanding the recommendation.

Keep summaries distinct from complete selections

A short list of examples can help the owner understand a finding, but it is not a complete count. If the user asks how many resources satisfy a filter, use the relevant full result or aggregate. Do not infer the total from whichever rows fit comfortably into a Slack message.

Preserve the exact selected population behind any later edit. A display preview should not become an implicit mutation list if the actual request concerned a wider set. The prepared proposal must show the actual targets and intended steps so the owner can review what will happen.

Product counts need their occurrence unit. The same inventory item excluded in two enabled groups contributes two group-specific exclusion occurrences under that question. A deduplicated inventory count is a different answer. The summary should explain the campaign and group coverage in normal language.

A requested chart needs returned points rather than invented trends. Compatible metrics can share one native chart within supported limits. A longer requested interval may need coarser grouping or an explained split when daily detail is explicit. The presentation should preserve the requested period.

Use a supported detailed report or export when the evidence exceeds a normal message. Tool-specific limits and release gates still apply. The client-facing output should contain meaningful columns and readable numbers, while internal identity and diagnostic fields remain behind the scenes unless they are genuinely needed for the decision.

Prepare the specific supported change

Select the operation after establishing the business reason. An irrelevant query can support a scoped negative; an unsuitable active resource can support a pause; an allocation decision can support a budget change. These are different actions with different targets and prerequisites.

The local capability and dependency catalogue describes those requirements. A keyword needs its ad group and campaign context. An account-level operation may need no campaign discovery. The framework should choose the required target kind rather than force every edit through the same asset search.

Dependent creation and editing steps also need a valid order. A child asset depends on its parent, and an existing-resource operation depends on the correct current identity. The local dependency checks establish that sequence before unnecessary provider work, while live state checks still protect the actual mutation.

For a focused campaign-budget change, the existing eligible target needs a non-shared DAILY budget used by one campaign. A shared resource is a different case. The proposal should not describe the focused action as a universal way to lower all spending controls.

For a product inclusion change, preserve the verified tree path and selected group occurrence. Enabling a product's listing inclusion is not the same as resolving Merchant eligibility or changing stock availability. The supported mutation should answer the selected account-setting question without claiming to fix unrelated business dependencies.

Review exact targets before execution

The confirmation message should describe the actual target and intended action. Use asset names with the relevant parent names for deeper resources. A keyword belongs to an ad group within a campaign; an ad group is not its own parent. The owner needs a readable hierarchy rather than raw resource identifiers.

Show separate steps when several operations are proposed. A new paused asset, an added keyword set and a later enable operation have different meanings. The reader should see each action distinctly instead of inferring the status of one asset from the grammar of a combined paragraph.

Pending proposals have a limited lifetime and remain bound to the authorised account and conversation context. The application rechecks relevant settings before execution. An earlier planning approval or an unrelated successful change does not authorise the new mutation.

Only the connected owner confirms the live edit through the supported control. Other participants can discuss the recommendation without obtaining that authority. A message saying that the idea looks sensible is not equivalent to pressing Confirm and Execute.

After confirmation, a prominent progress state replaces the reusable confirmation control. This makes the click visible immediately while the operation proceeds. The user should not be left wondering whether to click again because the original button still appears ready for another execution.

Separate verified settings from commercial results

A verified setting is an established technical outcome for the supported operation. It is not a monetary saving already achieved. A paused resource stops the relevant intended future configuration, but its historical cost remains real and future business effects need later evidence.

Some provider writes can be accepted while complete verification remains uncertain. The application does not automatically replay an ambiguous dispatched mutation. Inspect the relevant state before requesting another write, particularly for asset creation where replay can create duplicates.

Slack delivery has a separate outcome. An original proposal update and a thread receipt can describe one execution. A missing or delayed message does not prove that the account operation failed. Use the recorded execution state and actual account check when investigating confusing output.

Later performance needs its own defined dates and measurement. A return improvement after a change can coincide with other offer, schedule or tracking changes. The team should not claim causation solely because the two events occurred in order.

Close the review with the milestones actually reached: business decision, confirmed proposal, execution result and outstanding follow-up. This gives the enterprise team a reliable work record without converting every successful technical receipt into a claim that wasted spend has been eliminated.

Distinguish conversation edits and configured rules

A conversational edit follows the exact proposal and confirmation path. Separately configured Rules have their own conditions and action settings. The application contains ready-made patterns for performance-related investigations and changes, but their presence does not silently convert a normal conversation into ongoing automation.

A rule needs its actual condition, period, action and valid target requirements. A pattern concerning cost without conversions differs from a CPA boundary or a return boundary. The owner should review the configured logic rather than treat the preset's title as a complete specification.

Monitoring is another distinct surface. An alert or anomaly can notify the team without editing the account. A Pacer can show progress without enforcing its allowance. Keep these differences explicit so the reader understands which saved configuration, if any, can actually perform a provider operation.

Do not promise that every conversational capability is available through every rules surface. Inspect the applicable public interface and supported action before describing an automated workflow. A generic framework helps reuse definitions, while each execution path still has real constraints.

The enterprise procedure should record whether a task is advisory, awaiting confirmation or governed by an explicitly saved rule. That distinction prevents a colleague from assuming an account change will happen automatically when the conversation only produced a recommendation.

Reuse evidence and local capabilities

Use the reporting framework's retained compatible evidence for repeated explanations and presentations. A selected result can support a summary, table and requested chart without three independent copies of the same provider read. The renderer should consume validated returned data rather than construct new unsupported facts.

Capability discovery and dependency validation are local work. The tool can determine which target kind an operation accepts before reading assets. This avoids unnecessary campaign scans for account-only actions and prevents invalid sequences from reaching the provider merely to discover an obvious missing parent.

Fresh state still matters where the operation depends on it. Reusing an old performance selection does not eliminate the current-setting check before a live change. Efficiency should remove duplicate work, not the evidence required to bind an exact mutation safely.

A focused investigation can reduce both provider work and human effort. If the question concerns one campaign's measured outcome, obtain that scope before a broad portfolio analysis. If several findings share one website dependency, coordinate one implementation task while retaining their individual evidence.

Creative and explanatory requests can stay conversational when the necessary context is already present. The team should be able to discuss an offer and write new copy without automatically invoking research. Use provider calls for account facts and requested external evidence, keeping the purpose of each retrieval clear.

Keep a useful decision handoff

A handoff needs the original business question, selected scope, dates, metric definition and valid evidence. The next operator should see why the activity was suspected to be wasteful and which part of that judgement was actually established.

Include unresolved business inputs. The offer owner may still need to confirm availability, the measurement owner may still need to define the action and the web team may still need to test the customer step. These dependencies should not disappear behind a completed account read.

Keep pending proposals separate from executions. An expired proposal changed nothing; an uncertain dispatch may have changed the account. Those cases require different next actions. The record should let a new colleague continue without blindly replaying the last request.

State the intended follow-up evidence. A new policy status, a valid post-change performance interval or a completed implementation test can each close a different stage. A generic instruction to check again next week is less useful when nobody knows what question that check should answer.

Use enterprise budget tracking for spending against an allowance and enterprise audits for broader configuration evidence. Carry the established definitions into those reviews rather than restarting with contradictory assumptions.

Answer enterprise wasted-spend questions

Does no conversion mean every cost is waste?

It establishes the selected valid observation, not the cause. Confirm the outcome definition, reporting coverage and business context before deciding the remedy.

Should all low-score keywords be paused?

No. The diagnostic supports investigation. A commercial decision needs the relevant intent and performance evidence, with an exact reviewed target.

Does a negative list immediately affect campaigns?

Creating the list is separate from adding entries and attaching it. The intended campaign relationship must exist before its scope can be described as applied.

Can product exclusions be reviewed individually?

The framework preserves group-specific listing relationships and exact product selections. Current targeting and historical performance remain separate facts, and missing history is not low return.

Does an executed edit prove a saving?

No. It establishes the supported technical outcome. Later commercial evidence is a separate observation with its own dates, definition and business context.

What makes the review actionable?

A clear mismatch, valid evidence, an accountable owner and a specific supported next step. Keep missing prerequisites visible and review exact live changes before execution.
